I Must Stay — Political Strategy Game
Last updated: August 2026
1. What data we collect
- Anonymous device ID — generated on first launch, stored locally. Used to save your game progress.
- Apple ID (optional) — only if you sign in with Apple. Used to link your progress to your account.
- Nickname — chosen by you, used for the leaderboard.
- Gameplay statistics — turns survived, elections won, high score. Used for leaderboard and your personal stats.
- Error logs — anonymous crash/error data sent to our server. Used to fix bugs.
- Advertising identifier (IDFA), only with your permission — the game shows ads through Google AdMob. On first launch iOS asks whether you allow tracking. If you allow it, Google may use your device's advertising identifier to personalise the ads you see. If you decline, or if you are in a region where consent is required and you do not give it, you are served non-personalised ads instead and the identifier is not used.
2. What we do NOT collect
- No location data
- No camera or microphone access
- No contacts, photos, or files
- No advertising identifier is used unless you explicitly allow tracking when iOS asks
- We never sell your data, and we never share your nickname, scores or account with advertisers
3. How we use your data
All collected data is used solely to:
- Save your game progress across sessions
- Display your score on the public leaderboard (nickname only)
- Improve the game by fixing bugs
- Show ads, which is how the free version is funded — you can remove ads permanently with an in-app purchase
4. Data storage
Data is stored via Supabase, on a PostgreSQL database hosted in Singapore (AWS ap-southeast-1). If you are in the European Economic Area, this means your data is transferred outside the EEA. Game state is also saved locally on your device using standard iOS storage.
5. Third parties we use
- Google AdMob — serves the ads. Subject to Google's privacy policy. In regions where consent is required, Google's consent form is shown before any ad is requested; if you refuse, no ads are requested at all.
- RevenueCat — processes the in-app purchase that removes ads. It receives an anonymous purchase identifier, never your name or email.
- Apple — handles payment and, if you use it, Sign in with Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Supabase — hosts the database described above.
6. Data retention
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
7. Leaderboard names
The nickname you choose is shown to every other player on the public leaderboard. Do not use anything you would not want published. Offensive names are refused when you enter them, and every player can report or block a name from the leaderboard; a name reported by several players is hidden automatically. We review reports within 24 hours.
8. Children
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
